It works for a lot of different product comparative questions, so you can try it. There are some examples where links do not work in the answer.
Why do we care? On the organic side, this traffic product can affect their websites on comparison sites, and of course, any affiliated or sales commission/earning that they can get from their content. In the advertising side, it can give advertisers to new areas to advertise their products within Google Search.
